Job summary

Sizewell C is recruiting a Radiological Environment Lead to oversee regulatory compliance for the future operation of the project. The role offers hybrid working with London or Bristol as preferred locations and a path to senior environmental leadership.

You will lead regulatory and technical interfaces, ensuring BAT implementation and environmental protection across design, procurement, commissioning and operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in science or engineering-related discipline.
• Working knowledge of Radioactive Substances Regulations and BAT.
• Holds or working towards Radioactive Waste Adviser status.
• Experience with contracts and technical documentation.
• Chartered status or in progress with a relevant body.
• Experience with EMS aligned to ISO 14001:2015.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice on discharges, waste and environmental protection.
• Support BAT across design, procurement, commissioning and operations.
• Review technical documentation and supplier deliverables.
• Support environmental permitting, submissions and compliance.
• Oversee environmental design assurance and design changes.
• Coordinate BAT assessments across the project.
• Interface with Environment Agency and regulators.
• Mentor junior team members and build capability.
• Represent the Environment Team and CRWA Body in forums.
