Job summary

Sellafield Ltd is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to join our nuclear and engineering operations. You will contribute to inspections, assurance, and life-cycle quality control across complex projects in a highly regulated environment.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, apply risk-based QA/QC, manage non-conformances, and help deliver right-first-time outcomes while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must have HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and standards
• Experience in quality risk management in high-hazard environments
• Strong communication across multi-disciplinary teams and supply chains
• Understanding customer and stakeholder requirements including legislation

Responsibilities

• Deploys inspection and testing activities to verify products and services meet specifications and contractual requirements
• Promotes culture and focus for quality across teams
• Translates customer, stakeholder and regulatory expectations into quality requirements
• Collaborates to prepare quality plans and inspection plans, considering risks and learning from experience
• Defines and implements QA/QC to confirm products meet requirements
• Identifies and escalates quality deviations with integrated teams
• Supports compilation of quality records and ensures conformity to requirements
• Participates in supplier evaluation and quality submissions through procurement lifecycle
• Drives continuous improvement using structured problem-solving tools
• Monitors corrective/preventive actions and improvements
• Shares quality learnings to drive ongoing improvement
