Job summary

Amey is seeking an Environment & Sustainability Advisor to join the Transport Infrastructure HSEQ Team. This full-time, permanent role offers hybrid working with 37.5 hours per week and travel to multiple depots across the country.

You will enable compliance and drive continual improvements in environment and sustainability through collaboration and expert guidance. You’ll work with environmental, carbon and sustainability teams, support operational teams, review changes in laws, manage risks,

Qualifications

• Experience in Environment, Sustainability and/or Carbon.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with environmental, carbon and sustainability teams to deliver zero carbon, nature-based and best practice solutions.
• Provide environmental advice and support to operational teams.
• Collaborate with Health, Safety, Environment and Quality colleagues to ensure compliance.
• Review and communicate changes in environmental laws and standards.
• Identify and address environmental and social issues in decision-making, updating policies as needed.
• Help operational teams identify risks and opportunities, and develop control measures.
• Support the creation and delivery of environmental and carbon management plans.
• Handle environmental permission applications and liaise with regulators.
