Job summary

National Energy System Operator Limited is seeking a Portfolio Manager to join the Enterprise Portfolio Office. The role focuses on governance, portfolio performance management and reporting across programmes and project activity.

You will embed robust governance, assure portfolio health, and drive continuous improvement in data quality and decision making across NESO's investment portfolio.

Qualifications

• Professional certification in portfolio/programme/project management or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of portfolio governance frameworks and assurance processes.
• Experience designing portfolio reporting and executive dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Define and continuously improve the Enterprise Portfolio Governance framework.
• Design and maintain portfolio performance management processes and controls.
• Analyse performance information to identify risks, dependencies and issues.
• Manage enterprise portfolio reporting processes and cycles.
• Lead improvement of reporting templates and standards.
• Deliver portfolio assurance including independent oversight of health, risks and deliverability.
• Lead governance for PPM tooling (Verto) alignment with standards.
• Support adoption of portfolio reporting across the organisation.
• Develop and deliver governance-led portfolio communications and executive packs.
• Provide guidance on processes, standards and best practices.
