Job summary

National Energy System Operator (NESO) is seeking a Strategic Engagement Lead to shape stakeholder engagement across Strategic Energy Planning and NESO priorities. You will own senior relationships, design governance frameworks and lead cross-programme engagement through direct or virtual teams, ensuring credible engagement and strategic outcomes.

You will guide risk mitigation, provide senior advisory input, coach colleagues, and represent NESO in high-profile settings, driving engagement

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex engagement across programmes or portfolios.
• Ability to operate at system level and influence senior stakeholders.
• Ability to coach and develop others.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic stakeholder engagement framework aligned to NESO priorities.
• Own senior relationships and governance across SEP and NESO activities.
• Drive cross-programme engagement activity with workshops, forums and events.
• Develop strategic communications and executive briefings for senior decision-makers.
• Embed engagement governance, tracking and reporting across programmes.
