Job summary

Amazon Data Services Uk Limited in London is seeking a highly motivated Network Technician to join our AWS Infrastructure Services team. You will deliver hardware deployment, install fiber/copper cabling, and coordinate with internal customers and external vendors to scale our data center networks.

The role requires strong networking experience, ability to work with minimal supervision, and willingness to travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• Experience in hardware installation and troubleshooting.
• Experience in networking.
• Travel up to 30% of the time.
• Ability to move and lift computer equipment up to 50lbs.
• Proficient in network cabling, optic types, and test equipment (VFL, power meter, OTDR).

Responsibilities

• Moving and implementing large enterprise equipment.
• Installing Fiber and Copper cabling and patching cabling between equipment.
• Ensuring proper safety and security standards during cabling and rack installation.
• Following well established hardware installation procedures and break-fix activities.
• Safely using material handling tools and equipment.
• Traveling within and outside of the regional work area is required.
