Job summary

Sky is building a new Enterprise Assurance capability within the Group Risk Office. You will drive a consistent, risk-based approach to policies and controls across the organisation and partner with senior leaders to improve governance and risk visibility.

This role offers the chance to shape an enterprise-wide assurance function, influencing outcomes, and delivering robust, actionable insights to stakeholders at all levels. Hybrid working and strong governance oversight are core to the role.

Qualifications

• Ability to assess the design and effectiveness of policies, controls and governance frameworks.
• Expertise in translating assurance findings into clear, practical insights for stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance frameworks, corporate policy management and accountability.
• Stakeholder management and relationship-building to establish credibility across business functions.
• Confidence to influence, challenge and hold stakeholders to account for improved control effectiveness.
• Strong problem-solving to identify root causes and drive sustainable improvements.
• Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts to build a joined-up view of controls and assurance outcomes.
• Experience shaping methodologies, processes and ways of working in a new function.

Responsibilities

• Lead assurance activity across Sky's corporate policy and control environment, providing independent insight into policy adherence and control effectiveness.
• Assess whether key policies, controls and governance arrangements are understood, embedded and operating effectively.
• Partner with policy owners and subject matter experts to strengthen ownership of controls.
• Help shape and evolve Sky's Enterprise Assurance framework, methodologies and standards for consistent delivery.
• Identify opportunities to improve assurance through data, reporting and automation.
• Translate findings into clear recommendations and reporting for leaders.
• Contribute to enterprise-wide assurance reporting to build a consolidated view of control health and risks.
• Collaborate with the Technical Assurance Manager to deliver coordinated enterprise assurance across domains.
