Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with strategic customers and drive enterprise AI adoption using Claude models. You will collaborate with customer teams to ship production AI applications and create new solutions that address complex business needs while upholding safety standards.

You will work with Post-Sales, Product, and Engineering to codify deployment patterns, deliver artifacts, and maintain cutting-edge knowledge of LLM capabilities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a technical, customer-facing role such as Forward Deployed Engineer or software engineering with consulting/product experience.
• Production experience with LLMs including prompt engineering, agent development, evaluation frameworks, and deployment at scale.
• Strong programming skills in Python (and optionally TypeScript/Java/others) and shipping production apps.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and operate autonomously in complex organizations.
• Strong collaboration across teams with integrity and prioritization.
• Excellent communication to discover with customers and explain technical concepts.
• Background in financial services, healthcare, or enterprise vertical is a plus.
• Experience with enterprise IT systems and AI deployment patterns is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work within customer systems to build production applications with Claude models that meet customer needs.
• Deliver technical artifacts (MCP servers, sub-agents, agent skills) for production workflows.
• Provide white-glove deployment support for Anthropic products in enterprise environments.
• Identify repeatable deployment patterns and share insights with Product and Engineering teams.
• Stay updated on LLM capabilities and AI product stacks.
• Foster long-term customer relationships and identify new AI deployment opportunities.
• Travel frequently (25-50%) to customer sites to collaborate in person.
• Represent Anthropic at the highest level in customer environments.
