Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with our most strategic customers, delivering production AI applications built on Claude models. You will collaborate across Post-Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to ship solutions that address real business challenges while upholding safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a technical, customer facing role such as Forward Deployed Engineer or software engineer with consulting/product experience.
• Production experience with LLMs including prompt engineering, agent development, evaluation frameworks, and deployment at scale.
• Strong programming skills with Python (and ideally TypeScript/Java) and experience shipping production applications.

Responsibilities

• Work within customer systems to build production applications with Claude models to meet customer requirements.
• Deliver technical artifacts for customers like MCP servers, sub-agents, and agent skills used in production workflows.
• Provide white glove deployment support for Anthropic products in enterprise environments.
• Identify and codify repeatable deployment patterns and contribute insights back to Product and Engineering teams.
• Maintain knowledge of the latest developments in LLM capabilities and AI product stacks.
• Build long term relationships with customers and identify new opportunities for AI deployment during engagements.
• Travel frequently (25-50%) to customer sites to work in person with customers.
• Be a champion for Anthropic’s mission in the field.
