Aberdeenshire Council is seeking an Enhanced Provision Outreach Practitioner to provide advice and outreach support to mainstream primary schools to meet the needs of children with additional support needs, with a focus on primaries 1 and 2.

The post is attached to the Ellon cluster, offering an induction programme and access to professional learning opportunities. The role requires driving between schools within the Ellon cluster and delivering quality service with continuous improvement.

Are you passionate about improving outcomes for children with additional support needs? Do you have an early years qualification and a desire to try something new? If so, this may be the post for you.

We are looking for an Enhanced Provision Outreach Practitioner to join our team. Your role will be to provide advice and outreach support to mainstream primary schools to help meet the needs of children with a wide range of additional support needs. There will be a particular focus on primaries 1 and 2.

The successful candidate will be offered a comprehensive induction programme and access to a range of professional learning opportunities.

This post is attached to the Ellon cluster and flexible working across the cluster is required. There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement.

Candidate must be able to drive between schools in the Ellon Cluster.

Requirements

This post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of which must be your current or most recent employer.

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

This post will require you to have obtained SSSC registration within 3 months of employment.
