Job summary

Qualifications

• PVG Scheme or PVG update checks required
• Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required if spent time abroad in last 5 years

Job description

Provide emotional and practical support and guidance to children and

families in the local community. Supporting families to make positive changes

in line with their own goals. Using a strengths-based approach to build trust,

resilience and to reduce barriers to wider community engagement.

This post involves working closely with Social Work, Heath and Education to provide the best service and support for our families. The role will involve running parental groups and supporting families in a one to one situation.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

These posts will support a Whole Family Wellbeing Team being created centrally to support Aboyne, Banchory, Portlethen, Stonehaven and Laurencekirk areas of Aberdeenshire.

Fixed Term for a period not exceeding 31 October 2028

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
