Job summary

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking an assistant teacher to support teachers in promoting achievement and raising pupil attainment across pupils from P1 to S6. You will provide general support for class needs, wellbeing and safety, helping to create a secure learning environment.

The post is based in Ellon CSN with flexibility to work at other locations within the cluster. A PVG Scheme check and an Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required, and a reference from your current or most recent

There is a requirement to be flexible in school location within the cluster, according to individual circumstances and work with a range of pupils from P1 - S6.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

Initially you will be based in the location advertised, but you may be required to work elsewhere within the Ellon CSN.

Requirements

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
