Aberdeenshire Council is seeking a dedicated practitioner to provide emotional and practical support to children and families in the Fraserburgh area. You will work closely with Social Work, Health and Education to deliver a strengths-based service and run parental groups as well as provide one-to-one support.

A commitment to continuous improvement is essential for the role. The post is fixed term with an end date of 31 October 2028, with pre-employment checks including PVG scheme and overseas

Provide emotional and practical support and guidance to children and

families in the local community. Supporting families to make positive changes

in line with their own goals. Using a strengths-based approach to build trust,

resilience and to reduce barriers to wider community engagement.

This post involves working closely with Social Work, Heath and Education to provide the best service and support for our families. The role will involve running parental groups and supporting families in a one to one situation.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

The post will cover Fraserburgh area of Aberdeenshire.

Fixed Term for a period not exceeding 31 October 2028

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
