Job summary

Cornwallis Care Services Ltd is recruiting for an Enhanced Night Healthcare Assistant to join our dedicated night team at Trecarrel. You'll deliver compassionate, person-centred care throughout the night and support with medication administration where trained, mentoring colleagues, and upholding high standards of safety and care.

The role emphasises leading by example, promoting dignity and independence, and providing reassurance to residents during night shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of the Care Certificate.
• Experience working in a care setting.
• Experience supporting people with dementia or complex care needs would be desirable.
• Kind, calm, patient and empathetic approach.
• Confidence to take on additional responsibility and support colleagues.
• Medication training or willingness to complete the required training.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic IT skills and confidence using digital care systems.
• Reliable and positive approach to night shifts.
• Genuine commitment to safe, dignified, person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care, emotional reassurance and practical support to residents during the night.
• Support the Night Coordinator and colleagues to maintain a safe, effective night service.
• Support with medication administration following training and competency sign-off.
