Job summary

The Tutor Trust is seeking an English tutor to deliver small-group sessions (up to four pupils, occasionally six) during the school day, with sessions typically spanning 15 hours per assignment. Availability is required on weekdays between 8am and 4pm, and this is a self-employed role.

You will plan and deliver engaging English tuition, track pupil progress, complete reports and registers, and adhere to safeguarding policies. Comprehensive training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK and self-employed status required.
• Availability for tutoring during the school day (Mon–Fri, 8am–4pm).
• DBS checks and safeguarding compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English sessions for small groups (up to 4, occasionally 6).
• Build relationships with pupils and monitor progress over up to 15 school weeks.
• Complete session reports and pupil registers on time.
• Follow school safeguarding policies and Tutor Trust safeguarding procedures.
• Coordinate with schools and the Tutor Trust coordinator.
