Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment seeks an English Instructor to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 in Northampton. The role is full-time, long-term with potential permanent progression, and starts ASAP in a well-regarded secondary school.

Qualifications

  • Able to build positive relationships with young people and maintain professional boundaries.
  • A degree in English or a related subject is desirable but not essential.
  • Genuine passion for education and an interest in developing a career within teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Encourage students to develop confidence in their English skills and take pride in their learning.
  • Work collaboratively with the English department and wider school staff to support student progress.
  • Monitor student engagement and provide useful feedback to teaching staff.
  • Promote positive behaviour and maintain high expectations within the classroom.

Are you passionate about English and motivated to inspire young people through language, literature, and communication?

Are you an English graduate, Instructor, tutor, teaching assistant, or aspiring teacher looking for an exciting long-term opportunity within a supportive secondary school?

We are currently working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Northampton who are seeking a committed and enthusiastic English Instructor to join their team as soon as possible.

This is a full-time, long-term position running initially until July, with the potential for a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

The role would suit someone looking to gain valuable classroom experience, develop their teaching skills, and make a genuine difference to students' learning and progress.
