The Role

As an English Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver creative, engaging and challenging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for the right candidate.
  • Inspire students through the study of literature, language and creative writing, helping them develop confidence and a lifelong appreciation of English.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom where every student feels supported, challenged and motivated to succeed.
  • Assess progress effectively, adapting your teaching to meet the needs of learners of all abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the continued success of a thriving English department and the wider school community.
We're looking for an English Teacher who has:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable but not essential).
  • A genuine enthusiasm for English and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to creating an engaging learning environment.
  • High expectations for student achievement, behaviour and personal development.
  • A positive, reflective approach and a desire to contribute to a supportive and ambitious school community.
