Are you an experienced English Instructor or unqualified teacher with a strong background in delivering engaging English lessons? Do you have the confidence and subject knowledge to support students in developing their reading, writing, and communication skills?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a supportive secondary school in Daventry, looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic English Instructor to join their team immediately. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone with a background in education, tutoring, or alternative provision, who is confident teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4.

The Role

• Deliver high-quality English lessons to students in Key Stage 3 and 4, using prepared materials and resources
• Support students in developing literacy, comprehension, and creative writing skills
• Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs, including those with SEND or SEMH needs
• Work closely with the English department and pastoral teams to ensure consistency and student progress
• Provide feedback, assess understanding, and contribute to a positive classroom climate
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student confidence and resilience

We\'re Looking For

• A strong subject knowledge in English Literature and Language
• Experience working with secondary-aged students in a school, tuition, or alternative setting
• Excellent communication skills and a calm, confident classroom presence
• The ability to build positive relationships with students from a range of backgrounds
• A flexible, proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to wider school life
• A degree in English or a related field is preferred, though not essential
• Previous teaching experience or training is highly desirable
