Job summary

Kier Places Workplace Solutions is seeking an Engineering Team Leader to join the Cambridgeshire County Council contract. Based on-site at Cambridgeshire County Council sites in Huntingdon, you will oversee day-to-day engineering activities, ensuring safe, efficient delivery of maintenance, repairs, and project work across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Level 3+ qualification in mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled engineering is required.
• Experience in maintenance or engineering roles with leadership responsibility is essential.
• A full driving licence is required.
• Strong technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled engineering and good problem-solving skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Leading, motivating, and supporting a team of engineers and technicians to deliver planned, reactive, and project tasks to required standards
• Allocating daily workloads and ensuring work is completed on time in accordance with contract KPIs
• Overseeing and participating in both planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance tasks
• Mentoring and developing team members through regular briefings, toolbox talks, and performance discussions
• Managing team performance, annual leave, sickness absence, and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
