Job summary

International Procurement and Logistics Limited seeks an Engineering Team Leader to oversee engineers, site facilities and a machine technician team. You will drive priorities to meet performance targets while upholding health, safety and food safety standards.

You will align with the Engineering Manager on KPI development, project delivery and safe, compliant operation within the ASDA supply chain context.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in engineering such as Degree, HNC/HND with relevant industry experience
• 18th Edition wiring regulations
• Proven industry experience within a process plant
• Proven record in managing a skilled team by setting standards and coordinating work
• Knowledge of HSE requirements and safe systems of work, risk assessments
• Comprehensive understanding of Food safety standards (BRC) in engineering
• Working knowledge of PLCs
• IOSH Managing Safety
• Desirable: TPM/Lean Sigma training
• Desirable: ECITB training/qualification
• Knowledge of VFFMs and weighing equipment
• ONC or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the management and leadership of the machine technician team and be the first point of contact for all engineering and machine technician issues.
• Generate, monitor, measure and report on agreed KPIs for engineering and machine technician teams.
• Accountability for the management of the machine technician standards to IPL internal procedures (BRC / Food safety) on site.
• Ensure planned maintenance, insurance inspections and activities are planned, reviewed and filed with stakeholders.
• Ensure all PPM activities are completed within agreed timescales without impacting production DT and service.
• Ensure engineering activities are carried out safely by all staff and contractors per IPL procedures and safety standards.
• Own/deliver engineering projects on site ensuring HSE policies are followed and timelines met.
