Job summary

gap technical Ltd. is representing a global manufacturing business recruiting an Engineering Team Leader for a Trafford Park facility. The role leads a small engineering team, owns maintenance planning, and drives improvements in reliability and safety while staying hands-on with fault-finding.

The successful candidate will manage spares, coordinate audits, and drive continuous improvement to raise OEE and reduce waste in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Educated to HNC/degree level in an engineering discipline, or time-served with equivalent qualifications.
• Proven experience supervising or leading a technical team in manufacturing.
• Experience owning or contributing to a PPM programme and spares/MRO management.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership of the engineering team, prioritising workload and coaching.
• Own and improve the planned preventive maintenance programme across lines and equipment.
• Respond to and resolve breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Lead root cause analysis of recurring faults and implement corrective action.
• Own site's regulatory maintenance and compliance programme and audits.
• Manage spares strategy, stock levels, budgeting, and supplier relationships.
