Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe is seeking an Engineering Team Leader to guide the site engineering crew at Sleaford. You will lead mechanical, electrical and multi-skilled engineers, ensure plant reliability and drive improvements while upholding safety and quality standards.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will manage PPM activities in SAP, allocate tasks, and work with production to optimise performance. Relevant leadership experience and poultry plant knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' industrial engineering experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of poultry processing machinery.
• Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar maintenance management systems.
• Authorised to work in the UK; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of engineers and technicians across the site.
• Prioritise and allocate maintenance activities to maximise factory efficiency.
• Drive planned preventive maintenance (PPM) activities and accurately record labour and parts usage through SAP.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Support continuous improvement projects and equipment modifications.
• Work closely with production teams to provide technical expertise and operational support.
• Ensure engineering documentation is completed accurately and maintained.
• Champion Health & Safety, environmental compliance and 5S workplace standards.
