Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe is seeking an experienced maintenance engineering professional to lead a site team and optimise maintenance activities within a busy manufacturing environment.

You will drive PPM, record usage in SAP, diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, and support improvements and training while ensuring safety and 5S standards are upheld.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in industrial engineering within manufacturing.
• Lead a team of engineers and technicians and manage maintenance tasks.
• Experience using SAP or other maintenance management systems.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and support a team of engineers and technicians across the site.
• Prioritise and allocate maintenance activities to maximise factory efficiency.
• Drive planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities and accurately record labour and parts usage through SAP.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Support continuous improvement projects and equipment modifications.
• Work closely with production teams to provide technical expertise and operational support.
• Ensure engineering documentation is completed accurately and maintained.
• Champion Health & Safety, environmental compliance and 5S workplace standards.
• Assist with training and developing engineering and operational teams.
• Time or skill-served Engineering qualification.
• Minimum 4 years' industrial engineering experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
• Good IT skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.

Desirable

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience within the food manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of poultry processing machinery.
• Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar maintenance management systems.
