Job summary

KPI-Recruiting-Ltd is seeking an Engineering Support Advisor in Irlam to be the main contact for customers, processing orders and delivering excellent service. The role sits on the Wear Protection Sales team and requires a proactive, customer-focused approach to ensure orders progress smoothly from receipt to delivery.

You will work closely with production and internal departments, maintain CRM records, and handle international export licensing when needed.

Qualifications

• BPSS clearance or ability to obtain it.
• Experience in a customer service or support environment.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Proactive approach with ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Strong teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily contact with existing customers via phone and email, providing order updates and responding to enquiries.
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Proactively expedite customer orders and coordinate with internal departments to meet customer requirements.
• Attend regular production meetings to monitor order progress and communicate updates to customers.
• Develop a strong understanding of the company's products to provide informed advice and excellent customer service.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing customer accounts.
• Accurately maintain customer and account information within the CRM system.
• Apply for SIEL (Standard Individual Export Licence) applications via the UK Government's LITE system when required.
• Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role.
