Job summary

Pioneer Selection - Manufacturing & Industry Recruitment Specialists in the UK is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a state-of-the-art, highly automated factory. The role focuses on electrical maintenance, fault-finding and preventative maintenance on automated production machinery, with a strong emphasis on uptime and efficiency.

You will lead and support a team of engineers on shift, driving performance, safety and continuous improvement, and help raise engineering standards

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance experience within industrial manufacturing.
• Hands-on maintenance including planned, reactive and breakdown activities.
• Experience leading or supervising engineers in manufacturing.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to mentor and coordinate shift performance.

Job description

A fantastic opportunity which is not to be missed by strong Maintenance Engineer has come to the forefront. This is going to be any engineer's dream to work in this state-of-the-art, fully automated, fast-paced factory. They have recently invested into the site and it's a great place to work for any maintenance engineer who wants to develop their career both technically and/or into management.

You will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and planned preventative maintenance on a range of fully automated production machinery, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.

This role will also involve supporting and leading a team of engineers on shift, helping drive performance, safety, continuous improvement and engineering standards across the factory.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Engineering Supervisor

• Electrical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Hands on experience with pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in fast paced industrial factory.
• Previous experience leading or supervising engineers within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements for the Engineering Supervisor

• Hands-on electrical fault-finding experience.
• Recognised electrical engineering qualification.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to support team performance, mentoring and shift coordination.

Desirable Requirements for the Engineering Supervisor

• Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in the UK.
• Experience within food manufacturing, bakery or FMCG environments.
• Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
