Job summary

Pioneer Selection is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a state-of-the-art, fully automated factory in Southampton. The role sits on a shift team responsible for planned and preventative maintenance on production machinery with a strong mechanical bias.

You will perform electrical maintenance, fault-finding and ensure maximum uptime and efficiency of the plant. The site has recently invested in equipment and offers development opportunities and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial enviroment.
• Hands-on maintenance including pre-planned, reactive and breakdown tasks in a fast-paced factory.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance, fault-finding and planned preventive maintenance on fully automated production machinery.
• Maintain uptime and efficiency of production lines.
• Support shift team with maintenance activities and handover to the next shift.

Shift: 12 hour Days and Nights

Job Role of the Maintenance Engineer

This is going to be any engineer's dream to work in this state-of-the-art, fully automated, fast-paced factory. The Mechanical Bias Maintenance Engineer will join a team of engineers on shift to carrying out planned and preventative maintenance. They have recently invested into the site and it's a great place to work for any maintenance engineer who wants to develop their career both technically and/or into management.

You will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and planned preventative maintenance on a range of fully automated production machinery, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer

• Maintenance Engineering experience within a manufacturing or industrial enviroment
• Hands on experience with pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in fast paced industrial factory.

Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer

• Hands-on mechanical experience with gearboxes, belts, bearings, chains etc
• Recognised engineering qualification.
• Experience working within a manufacturing/industrial environment.

Desirable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer

• Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in the UK.
