Job summary

Zest in Cambridgeshire is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead and develop a team of engineers, overseeing planned and reactive maintenance on high-speed production and packaging lines.

The role is Monday–Friday days with flexible hours, offering ongoing training and a clear path to long-term career growth within an expanding FMCG business.

Engineering Supervisor

Salary: Up to £55,000

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, days, with flexible hours

Location: Cambridgeshire

Our client is an established and expanding FMCG business based in Cambridgeshire. Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint an Engineering Supervisor to support and develop their engineering team, on a Monday to Friday days role with flexible hours.

The Role

• Lead, support and develop a team of engineers, helping each individual grow their skills and confidence
• Get hands‑on with planned and reactive maintenance across high-speed production and packaging equipment
• Support fault finding on electrical and mechanical breakdowns to minimise downtime
• Work closely with production and wider site teams to drive continuous improvement
• Promote a safe, positive and team focused culture, ensuring work is completed in line with site standards

What We're Looking For

• An experienced engineer with a good mix of electrical and mechanical skills
• Experience within a fast-paced environment such as food, packaging, pharma, or similar
• Leadership or supervisory experience would be advantageous, but isn't essential
• A people person who can lead, inspire and develop others
• A strong communicator with a proactive, can‑do approach
