Job summary

Owen Daniels in Garstang is seeking a Service Scheduler/ Coordinator/ Planner to join a busy engineering service operation. You will schedule engineers for planned maintenance, reactive breakdowns and visits, while planning daily workloads and ensuring efficient use of resources.

The role requires coordinating with engineers, customers and internal teams to keep work on track and within agreed timescales, managing records and responding quickly to urgent issues.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating engineers and planning service schedules.
• Experience in engineering, maintenance or field service environments.
• Strong organisation and time-management abilities.
• Confident communicator with engineers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule engineers for planned maintenance, reactive breakdowns and service visits.
• Plan daily and weekly workloads with effective resource allocation.
• Liaise with field engineers to manage schedules and job progress.
• Be the main contact for customers, providing updates on attendance and progress.
• Coordinate customer appointments and ensure work is within timescales.
• Manage job information, service records and relevant documents.
• Respond to scheduling issues and prioritise urgent breakdowns when needed.
• Collaborate with internal departments to deliver efficient service.
