Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a proactive Service Scheduler / Coordinator / Planner in Garstang, Lancashire. The role focuses on coordinating engineers, planning service schedules and handling day-to-day operations within an engineering/service environment.

The successful candidate will schedule engineers for planned maintenance and breakdowns, manage workloads and ensure customer requirements and timelines are met, while maintaining accurate service records and clear communication with customers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Scheduler, Service Coordinator, Planner or similar role.
• Experience in engineering, maintenance, field service or a technical environment would be advantageous.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with engineers and customers.
• Good IT and administration skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule engineers for planned maintenance, reactive breakdowns and service visits.
• Plan daily and weekly workloads, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
• Liaise with field engineers to manage schedules, job progress and any changes to planned work.
• Act as a key point of contact for customers, providing updates on engineer attendance and job progress.
• Coordinate customer appointments, ensuring work is completed within agreed timescales.
• Manage job information, service records and relevant documentation.
• Respond to scheduling issues and prioritise urgent breakdowns when required.
• Work closely with internal departments to ensure efficient service delivery.
