Job summary

Tata Steel UK Limited is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to drive key site development projects at Shotton from concept to handover. You will lead Project Engineers, coordinate with Manufacturing and engineering functions, and ensure delivery within safety standards and governance processes.

The role requires an engineering degree, strong leadership, and experience in project lifecycle management, with Chartered status being beneficial. A competitive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Strong grounding in engineering, with a mechanical or electrical background.
• Experience leading engineering projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Clear communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with safety legislation, risk assessment, and safe project delivery.
• Budgeting and cost control experience is important.

Responsibilities

• Lead major development projects from concept through commissioning and handover.
• Guide a team of Project Engineers and collaborate with site stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, specifications and governance structures.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety and regulatory expectations.
• Oversee design, procurement, installation, commissioning and change control.
