Job summary

Tata Steel UK is leading a £1.5 billion megaproject to build the world’s largest Electric Arc Furnace. The Project Engineer will drive plans, supervise execution and ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance across all stages from design through commissioning.

You will collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders to deliver on time, within budget, and to the highest standards, while developing expertise in high voltage systems and complex electrical installations.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have a strong background in Heavy Industry and engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• As Project Engineer, create project plans and proposals; oversee all stages from concept to final acceptance; ensure work meets design, safety and environmental standards.
• Draft technical specifications and requests for quotations from OEMs and contractor partners.
• Oversee electrical engineering activities across the full project lifecycle; review designs, manage contractors and monitor progress.
