Job summary

Vanderlande Industries United Kingdom Ltd is seeking a Project Leader Engineering to drive and coordinate engineering projects in the UK. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage scope and budgets, and ensure safe, compliant delivery of complex automation solutions for customers at home and abroad.

You will apply strong leadership and communication to liaise with customers and internal teams, while advancing project management practices and delivering high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• A strong team player and effective communicator.
• A lateral thinker with a wide depth of field (able to see the big picture).
• Relevant Degree in mechanical, electrical or controls engineering.
• Appropriate years of experience managing complex engineering projects for demanding customers, including technical lead of multidiscipline teams.
• Qualified Project Management knowledge with expertise in engineering projects, ideally in material handling systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Managing the Planning of engineering projects by being a stakeholder manager and creating and owning the engineering project plan.
• Technical leading of internal and external teams to successful project execution.
• Controlling the budget of engineering projects proactively by identifying risk and opportunities and evaluating scope and modifications, including reporting.
• Managing the Technical Solution, delivering (sub-)systems with the right quality as a technical partner to customers and external parties.
• Execution of health and safety analysis and ensuring implementation in the design.
• Continuously improving project management processes and promoting best practices.
