Engineering Project Lead – FMCG Equipment & Compliance

Job summary

Escape is looking for an experienced Project Manager to provide technical leadership across capital and site-led projects within a fast-paced drinks manufacturing environment.

The role requires an engineering degree with an apprenticeship, FMCG experience, and strong knowledge of compliance, machinery safety and CDM 2015. You will coordinate commissioning, handovers and daily contractor liaison on site.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree and apprenticeship completed, ideally Mechanical or Electrical.
• Experience in FMCG, food or drinks manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of engineering compliance, machinery safety and risk assessment.
• Understanding of CDM 2015.
• Experience with CMMS systems and strong IT/documentation skills.
• Excellent communication, influencing and contractor management skills.
• A structured, analytical and completer-finisher.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering compliance across capital and site projects.
• Act as the Engineering representative at project meetings.
• Review and manage technical files, drawings, certification and documentation.
• Ensure machinery meets safety, statutory and engineering standards.
• Coordinate commissioning, operational readiness and asset handover.
• Work with OEMs, contractors and site teams to resolve technical issues.
• Support improvements in equipment performance and OEE.
