Job summary

Advanced Engineering in the South West England region seeks an Interim Engineering Project Manager to lead the equipment workstream for a major new food manufacturing facility. The role is hands-on, delivering from specification through to commissioning and handover.

You will manage multiple equipment packages, coordinate with building utilities and M&E infrastructure, and drive performance with suppliers and engineering partners to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering complex capital equipment projects in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of equipment specification, supplier management, installation and commissioning.
• Excellent project planning, commercial and stakeholder management skills.
• Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience; FMCG/automation exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple capital equipment projects from concept to completion.
• Manage equipment suppliers, contractors and engineering partners.
• Oversee specifications, budgets, programmes and project risks.
• Coordinate equipment installation with M&E infrastructure.
• Drive supplier performance and resolve technical and delivery challenges.
• Lead commissioning, handover and project close-out.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Health & Safety and wider project teams.
