Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead planning, delivery and governance of complex engineering programs in the UK. You will oversee schedules, budgets and risks while engaging diverse stakeholders to drive momentum and value.

You will embed best practices, capture lessons learned and mentor junior delivery staff, travelling to Rolls-Royce SMR locations as required to support critical work packages.

Qualifications

• A degree in engineering, science, project management or a related discipline, and/or significant experience delivering complex projects.
• A project management qualification such as APM PMQ or equivalent, or demonstrable experience managing complex engineering projects.
• Experience delivering large, multi-disciplinary projects involving schedule, budget, risk and change management.
• Knowledge of project management tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, SAP, Excel, Power BI or Power Apps.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance.
• Satisfactory completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
• Satisfactory completion of a basic financial probity check.
• Regular attendance at a Rolls-Royce SMR location as required.
• Occasional travel to support project delivery and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of complex projects to agreed time, cost and quality targets
• Manage project schedules, budgets, risks and stakeholder engagement to maintain delivery momentum
• Monitor performance, identify issues and drive effective resolutions and mitigations
• Embed best practice, capture lessons learned and continuously improve project delivery processes
• Support Senior Project Managers and Programme Managers in delivering key projects and work packages across the business
• Collaborate with stakeholders across complex engineering programmes
• Travel occasionally to support project delivery and stakeholder engagement
