Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead delivery of multiple complex engineering and construction programmes within a wider portfolio.

You will manage PM teams, drive controls across schedule, budget, risk and quality, report progress to the Programme Manager, and collaborate with stakeholders. Occasional travel and security clearances are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, science, project management, or related discipline.
• APM PMQ or equivalent qualification, or demonstrable major project leadership.
• Experience managing multiple work packages, budgets, risks & senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, Excel, Power BI or Power Apps.
• Clear communication of complex information.
• Ability to lead high‑performing teams.
• Willingness to travel and attend Rolls-Royce SMR locations.
• BPSS clearance and DBS check.
• Basic financial probity check.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of multiple complex engineering, construction, procurement, and regulatory projects.
• Manage teams of Project Managers, including prioritisation, resource allocation, and delivery performance.
• Drive project controls across schedule, budget, risk, quality, and stakeholder management.
• Report progress, mitigate issues, and embed continuous improvement across projects and ways of working.
• Support delivery of critical programme outcomes.
• Report to a Programme Manager.
• Support project and stakeholder delivery activities through occasional travel.
