Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR invites applications for a Senior Manager – Mechanical Handling. This strategic engineering leadership role owns the technical direction, governance and delivery of the Mechanical Handling equipment portfolio across our UK and international deployments.

You will lead a growing multi-disciplinary team, establish Design Authority, manage major programs in cost, schedule and safety, and collaborate across engineering, procurement and manufacturing to deliver robust, licensable

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering with Chartered Engineer status.
• Experience leading design, manufacture, operation and maintenance of Mechanical Handling equipment in nuclear or highly regulated industries.
• Proven experience leading large engineering teams across product development lifecycle.
• Strong governance, safety substantiation, product ownership, design integration, and verification activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, governance and delivery of integrated Mechanical Handling solutions across the product lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership and delegated engineering authority for Mechanical Handling equipment.
• Build, lead and develop a growing engineering team up to Design Authority.
• Own delivery of major programmes across cost, schedule, quality, safety and technical performance.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, safety, licensing, and supply chain functions to ensure integrated delivery.
