Depop is seeking a UK-based Engineering Manager to lead the Trust Detection team. You will guide backend engineers, shape the roadmap, and partner with ML and product leads to deliver real‑time risk scoring and detection capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and growing engineering teams.
• Strong software engineering background with architecture and trade-offs experience.
• Experience running production systems with reliability and quality focus.
• Exposure to ML or data-heavy teams is highly valuable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Trust Detection engineering team.
• Coach and develop Backend Engineers and shape hiring and onboarding.
• Set team direction, roadmap, and delivery milestones.
• Collaborate with ML Manager and Product Manager to define priorities.
