Vercel is seeking a senior Software Engineer for its Trust & Safety team in London to design and operate systems that protect developers and projects from abuse at scale. You will work across security, product, and infrastructure to turn research into production-ready defenses.

The role emphasizes collaboration, hands-on engineering with LLMs, and cloud infrastructure knowledge, with in-office anchor days when close to one of our offices.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in abuse prevention, trust & safety, or security engineering.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and Python.
• Hands-on experience working with LLMs, including prompt engineering, evaluation, and fine-tuning.
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, including AWS.
• Experience owning systems end-to-end, from initial research through production deployment and iteration.
• Collaborate closely with security, product, and infrastructure teams to bring research ideas into stable, scalable production systems.
• Strong understanding of real-world threat actor behavior and abuse tactics.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze threat actor behavior and evolving abuse patterns to inform detection logic and scalable mitigations.
• Research and prototype state-of-the-art LLM-driven techniques for abuse detection and prevention.
• Design and develop production-ready systems that detect and disrupt abusive behavior across the platform.
• Build and maintain internal tools, datasets, and evaluation pipelines for trust and safety workflows.
• Collaborate with security, product, and infrastructure teams to operationalize research into production systems.
