Job summary

Polyframe in Lenwade is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering function, optimise maintenance activities and drive continuous improvement. You will oversee PPM, manage resources, and deliver improvements in TPM and FLM while ensuring safety and compliance.

Lead a proactive engineering team, manage budgets and CAPEX, and collaborate with Production to meet KPIs and operational targets.

Qualifications

• Significant engineering management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Holds relevant engineering qualification(s) and membership of a professional body.
• Strong customer-focused approach and collaboration across teams.
• Well organised, disciplined and capable of balancing multiple priorities.
• A hands-on, analytical leader with strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an engineering strategy aligned with business goals and safety.
• Maintain an engineering scorecard and cost reporting with KPIs.
• Prepare CAPEX business cases and manage budgets for improvements.
• Lead capital projects from concept to commissioning within scope and budget.
• Manage external contractors, suppliers and key stakeholders.
• Develop the engineering team through coaching and succession planning.
• Champion Lean, TPM and continuous improvement to reduce downtime.
• Ensure compliance with LOTO, SSOW and health, safety and environmental standards.
• Oversee facilities maintenance and site infrastructure.
