Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting an ambitious engineering leader to head maintenance, capital projects and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role offers visibility across Operations and Engineering and a path to broader leadership.

You will mentor the maintenance and engineering team, deliver CAPEX projects, drive reliability and safety, and influence site performance through lean and TPM practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG or production environments.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance, asset reliability and continuous improvement.
• Proven project leadership and cross-functional influence across Operations and Engineering.
• Ambitious with a view to broader engineering leadership.
• Lean, TPM or Six Sigma experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the maintenance and engineering team.
• Deliver capital investment and continuous improvement projects.
• Drive equipment reliability, uptime and engineering performance.
• Develop and optimise preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Oversee CMMS, maintenance planning and stores/inventory control.
• Manage engineering stores, spare parts and inventory control.
• Support new equipment installations and NPI projects.
• Collaborate with Operations to improve efficiency, productivity and site performance.
• Drive safety, accountability and continuous improvement culture.
• Manage engineering budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
