Job summary

My client, a recognised manufacturing business, is seeking an ambitious engineering leader to head maintenance, capital projects and continuous improvement on a fast-paced site.

You will develop the engineering team, drive asset reliability and oversee CMMS, spares, budgets and NPI initiatives, collaborating with Operations to boost site performance and safety.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Manufacturing, FMCG or production experience.
• Strong understanding of maintenance best practices, asset reliability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the maintenance and engineering team.
• Deliver capital investment and continuous improvement projects.
• Drive equipment reliability, uptime and engineering performance.
• Develop and optimise preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Oversee engineering systems, CMMS and maintenance planning.
• Manage engineering stores, spare parts and inventory control.

• Proven experience within a manufacturing, FMCG or production environment.
• Strong understanding of maintenance best practices, asset reliability and continuous improvement.
• Experience leading projects, mentoring colleagues, supervising teams or driving operational improvements.Comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders across Operations and Engineering.
• Ambitious and motivated to step into a broader engineering leadership role.
• Lean, TPM or Six Sigma experience would be advantageous.
