Thought Machine is seeking an Engineering Manager specialized in security engineering to lead a talented team reporting to the Engineering Management team. You will drive the roadmap, participate in reviews, and influence product strategy while hands-on contributing where needed.

The role emphasizes building secure services, mentoring engineers, and collaborating across Thought Machine’s engineering groups to advance cutting-edge fintech platforms.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in engineering management of product-aligned teams.
• Technical background to drive technical choices and communicate with PMs and clients.
• Design, develop, and maintain security for modern tech stacks (AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, Go/Python).
• You’ll wear engineering manager hats to fit team needs.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the security engineering roadmap with your team.
• Participate in technical discussions and design reviews.
• Measure your team’s impact and report progress.
• Contribute to product strategy and engineering-wide initiatives.
• Collaborate with other Thought Machine teams through trust and influence.
• Develop engineers and support career growth.
• Lead by example with code reviews and hands-on work.
