Ibstock Plc in Aldridge, United Kingdom, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our factory team and drive continuous improvement. You will oversee mechanical and electrical engineering activities, implement IMS tools, ensure health, safety and environmental compliance, and deliver maintenance and capital projects to enhance manufacturing capability.

You will mentor engineers, manage performance reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production targets and cost

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical Engineering in construction raw materials.
• Strong self-motivation and drive.
• Demonstrable supervisory experience.
• Effective communication across all levels of the business.
• Organisational skills including planning and procedure implementation.
• Leadership and people-management capabilities.
• Experience with absence management and assessments.
• Ability to implement structured problem solving and delegation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and promote Company, Factory and Team plans and implement to achieve objectives.
• People management and performance reviews to deliver objectives.
• Provide engineering expertise to apply IMS tools for Continuous Improvement.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures.
• Collect and analyse engineering, production and process data to meet targets.
• Develop systems and standards delivering housekeeping using 5S principles.
• Design and implement capital improvement projects to enhance manufacturing capability.
• Utilise CMMS to plan preventive maintenance and control stock.
• Collaborate across Ibstock Brick support functions with strong cross-functional relationships.
