Job summary

Ibstock Plc is recruiting an Engineering Manager to lead the Aldridge factory team in Walsall, West Midlands. The role focuses on delivering continuous improvement, strong leadership, and effective engineering management across mechanical and electrical disciplines.

The successful candidate will drive IMS tool usage, capital projects, and safety, with accountability for delivering key manufacturing targets and people development.

Qualifications

• Engineering or technical degree with leadership potential.
• Experience leading teams in a manufacturing/engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and promote factory and team plans and implement to meet objectives.
• Manage people, motivate and develop the team through performance reviews.
• Provide engineering expertise to apply IMS tools for continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental procedures.
• Collect and analyze engineering data to drive targets.
• Develop systems and standards for housekeeping using 5S.
• Lead capital improvement projects to enhance capability.
• Use CMMS and planning stock control for maintenance.
• Collaborate with other support functions to build strong relationships.
