SSE plc is seeking experienced engineering leaders for Assistant Engineering Manager or Engineering Manager roles based in Scotland. You will lead multidisciplinary teams across major transmission projects, delivering design, construction, commissioning and handover of assets for a net-zero network.

Based in Inverness, Perth, Aberdeen or Glasgow with 50% time in the office, you will champion engineering excellence and safety, guiding teams through lifecycle stages and coordinating with

Formación

• Engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Experience delivering engineering solutions in electrical transmission or similar infrastructure.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
• Strong technical judgement, risk management and prioritisation skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver safe, high-quality engineering solutions.
• Drive engineering excellence, innovation and sound practice across the project lifecycle.
• Promote Safety by Design and ensure compliance with legislation and CDM responsibilities.
• Ensure specifications, standards and deliverables meet project and network requirements.
• Build relationships with project teams and stakeholders to keep engineering central to delivery.

Educación

Engineering degree or equivalent

Chartered Engineer status desirable
