Job summary

Valeo Foods UK is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the site’s engineering team, drive maintenance strategy, and ensure safety, quality, and compliance across operations. You will oversee maintenance projects, manage budgets, and guide continuous improvement initiatives.

You will develop preventative maintenance programs, conduct risk assessments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet food safety standards and production goals.

Qualifications

• Senior engineering experience, ideally in food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering.
• Experience leading site services (effluent, allergen and hazards).
• Experience managing maintenance strategies and project planning.
• Track record of leading teams, driving performance and managing change.
• Experience in a fast-paced, evolving manufacturing environment.
• Capital project management experience.
• Familiarity with project management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site's engineering team to drive operational excellence, safety and compliance.
• Develop and implement a robust maintenance strategy for maximum efficiency and reliability.
• Oversee all engineering activities ensuring compliance and food safety standards.
• Develop and execute a preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime.
• Manage CapEx and OpEx, and oversee asset management plans.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to align maintenance with business goals.
• Foster a high-performing team through training plans and performance reviews.
