Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group, a major UK food manufacturer, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance function at the Gunstones bakery site in Dronfield. The role combines hands-on leadership with driving continuous improvement to enhance asset reliability and site performance.

You will manage a team of engineers, champion safety compliance, oversee maintenance planning and CMMS, and lead projects that optimise production assets.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of engineering teams in FMCG or high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical or electrical engineering background.
• Experience with maintenance planning and CMMS systems.
• Ability to analyse downtime and drive root-cause actions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication.
• Experience managing budgets and contractor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of 17-20 engineers.
• Drive health, safety and compliance across all engineering activities.
• Manage maintenance planning, PPM, and CMMS improvements.
• Analyse downtime and implement corrective actions.
• Lead engineering projects and asset management plans.
• Manage budgets, contractors, and KPIs.
