Job summary

Regional Recruitment is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead HVAC/refrigeration equipment maintenance across regional depots. This permanent, full-time role offers £55K-£65K (DOE) plus a bonus, with a hybrid work schedule.

You will oversee inspections, maintenance programs and vendor management, ensuring fault-free operations and cost-effective service. Travel to multiple sites is required.

Qualifications

• Essential: 5+ years in equipment maintenance, depot operations, logistics or fleet engineering.
• Essential: fault finding and repair capabilities.
• Essential: strong background in three phase electrical installations and HVAC systems.
• Essential: manage planned/ preventative maintenance schedules, repair turnaround and vendor budgets.
• Essential: full, valid UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee equipment inspection, maintenance and repair across regional depots and third-party facilities.
• Supervise repair vendors, surveyors and service providers for timely, cost-effective service.
• Review repair estimates and decide whether to repair, sell, or decommission equipment.
• Investigate damage claims and operational issues to implement corrective actions.
• Accurately track equipment history and service data in company systems.
• Collaborate with logistics, operations and customer support to optimise fleet availability.

Qualifications

Essential:

• 5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance, depot operations, logistics or fleet engineering
• Excellent fault find and repair capabilities
• Strong technical background with three phase electrical installations and refrigeration/ HVAC systems
• Ability to manage planned/ preventative maintenance schedules, repair turnaround and vendor budgets
• Full, valid UK Driving License

Desirable:

• Refrigeration/ Electrical qualifications (F-Gas certification)
• Relevant NVQ credentials or engineering degree
