Job summary

HVAC Recruitment is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join a mobile team covering the East Midlands. The role involves servicing, maintenance, breakdowns and minor installations on a commercial maintenance contract.

You will work Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week, with a 1 in 5 call-out rota. The position offers a van, fuel card and 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, with overtime and long-term stability.

Qualifications

• F-Gas Category 1 required or equivalent qualification.
• CO₂ refrigeration experience/qualification essential.
• Experience with commercial refrigeration maintenance and breakdowns.
• Hydrocarbon experience is advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Mobile role servicing, maintenance and breakdowns across East Midlands.
• Carry out minor installations and fault finding on refrigeration systems.
• Work to SLAs and maintain accurate service records.

Refrigeration Engineer - East Midlands

Salary: Up to £49,000 + door-to-door travel

Location: Mobile - East Midlands

Hours: Monday-Friday, 45 hours per week

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join an established commercial maintenance contract covering the East Midlands.

The Role

• Mobile role, approximately 60% reactive / 40% PPM, covering servicing, maintenance, breakdowns, fault finding and minor installation works.
• Monday-Friday, 45 hours per week, with start times between 7-8am and finishes between 4:30-5:30pm.
• 1 in 5 call-out rota, with call-out built into the salary and time-and-a-half paid when called out.
• Work professionally around clients and site staff, completing maintenance records and working to agreed SLAs.
• 11-hour minimum rest period between shifts.

• F-Gas Category 1
• CO₂ refrigeration experience/qualification
• NVQ Level 2 Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent
• Strong commercial refrigeration maintenance and breakdown experience
• Hydrocarbon experience advantageous
• Full UK driving licence
